Clear answers to the questions owners and managers most often ask before starting a flag assessment.
Is the Flag Match tool free?
Yes. The quick shortlist tool is free and does not require contact details. A full vessel assessment, including review of actual documentation against the roster, is a paid engagement. We’ll confirm the scope and fee once we understand the vessel.
What if I don’t know which flag I want?
That is a common starting point. Select “No preference” in the assessment form and we’ll recommend options based on vessel type, age, trade routes and priorities. Whether Rajyn holds an appointment with a particular flag does not determine the recommendation.
How long does registration actually take?
Timing depends on the selected flag, vessel history and how complete the documentation is. The Registration Process section shows the main stages; we’ll confirm a case-specific timeline once we know the vessel and chosen flag.
Can you help with reflagging, not just newbuild registration?
Yes. Reflagging and transfers are common. Include the vessel’s current flag in the assessment form and we’ll explain how the process differs from a first registration and what is required next.
Are recommendations limited to flags where Rajyn holds FSI appointments?
No. The Flag Match tool scores the full roster, and appointment status does not affect the scoring. Rajyn’s inspection experience informs the assessment process, while the recommendation remains vessel-specific.
